Travis Scott and Nike have a long history of collaborations, with notable sneakers such as the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270. The sneakers have seen major success, often selling out minutes after they release. With the success of past collaborations, Scott and Nike continue to team up, this time with a new rendition of the Nike Air Max 1.
The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 “Baroque Brown” was initially revealed on Air Max Day back in March, but we were able to get a full look courtesy of @3500savoy on Instagram. Scott donned a pair at a pop-up event the week of May 10th, with fans snapping pictures of them throughout the day.
The shoe is scheduled to arrive in five colorways, and Scott was seen rocking the “Baroque Brown” colorway. The aforementioned colorway consists of a beige woven base, a shade that is also seen on the Nike swoosh. Darker tan overlays are present on the sides of the shoe and the base of the laces. These tab overlays connect to darker dirt brown overlays seen on the outskirts of the sneaker, all sitting atop a beige outsole. The rope laces are in red, contrasting the earthy colors surrounding it and matching the back ankle tab.
Although we have gotten a full look at the sneaker, release information is still not available. Rumors have been floating around that the sneaker is set to arrive sometime this holiday season, but nothing is confirmed. What we do know is that it is expected to be priced at $160 USD.
The “Baroque Brown” colorway has Travis Scott written all over it, as the earthy tones are something often seen on his merch and collaborations, namely his rendition of the Air Jordan 1. The other colorways are set to have the same design, albeit with different colors; hopefully, they are able to match the hype of the “Baroque Brown” colorway.
