Throughout his career, Eminem has touted that his Detroit upbringing as played an integral part in who he is today. Knowing the strife and struggle the city has had to deal with, Eminem is working to give back with his new restaurant, Mom’s Spaghetti (a reference to a line from his “Lose Yourself” track).
Em’s new restaurant is located at 2131 Woodward Ave. in Detroit, Michigan. While Eminem has been pushing Mom’s Spaghetti as a pop-up restaurant at some of his festivals (since at least 2017), this is the first storefront restaurant. The grand opening was on September 29th, 2021; since then, the restaurant has been seeing love from fans and customers.

On the night of the grand opening, fans were waiting outside, creating a line that stretched for blocks. As they began to serve, Eminem kicked things off by serving the first 10 customers in line. Since then, the restaurant has been doing well, seeing a number of five star reviews online. In one of those reviews, customer Devin Cleveland-Stein said “Get that spaghetti sandwich for sure. [I] got the spaghetti with meatballs just to add the meatballs to the sandwich. The meatballs are pretty decent and worth the extra bit.” If you want to check the other reviews, you can find them on the restaurant’s Google page.
Personally, I haven’t been to the restaurant, but from what customers are saying, it is worth the price. Since the restaurant has been operating since 2017 via pop-ups, they have had time to perfect the food that they offer. It’s no surprise that customers have been satisfied with their experiences.
