There’s been a bunch of tracks this year that have taken the world by storm via TikTok. While tons of underground artists have been able to take advantage of this, mainstream artists have been jumping on the TikTok train, as well. An example of this in action is with Gunna and Future’s track “Too Easy,” which just saw a release on September 24th.

Prior to the track’s release, a snippet began to circulate on social media, mainly TikTok, becoming the soundtrack to one of the many trends on the app. Gunna and Future took advantage of this success by releasing “Too Easy” to close off September, capitalizing on the app’s feature to divert streams to the track.

Booming production peppered with harps and claps starts things off, with Wheezy showing once again that he creates some of the best soundscapes for Gunna. Speaking of Gunna, he enters with the chorus, rapping about how easy the game comes to him and the luxurious lifestyle he lives. As he digs into his verse, we hear bars about his upbringing and where his drive comes from, setting the stage for Future to double down.

As Future’s verse comes around, he raps about his riches, as well, touching on his risque escapades. We hear bars about his influence on high fashion, his lamborghinis, adventures in the trap, and everything else in between—getting a big glimpse into the high-class lifestyle that he lives. He does all of this while enlisting a moderately-paced flow, equipped with a rich timbre in his voice.

On “Too Easy,” Gunna and Future show that rapping is too easy for them, bringing bars about their time at the top with their riches while being supported by encapsulating production from Wheezy. While they don’t break out into something “next level,” the two still come together for a fun listen that is accentuated by reverb and autotune.
