Is This New Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN The Worst One Yet?

Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN

Since he has entered the fashion scene a few years ago, Kanye has released an absolute plethora of Yeezys. While most of the releases have been hits, some of them have been complete misses (beginning to look so much alike, it felt as he was releasing the same shoe over and over). Fast forward to today. None of them have been as bad as the new Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN.

Set to release in two different colorways, dubbed ‘Triple Black’ and ‘Orange’, the new Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN is vastly different from the classic 700 silhouette that we know and love. Although they share the same sole design, that’s where the similarities end. The Triple Black colorway features an all-black upper, with a large 700 on the side. It also features a pull tab, which is a first amongst the 700 models. While the Triple Black colorway doesn’t look too bad (it does have a sleek design), the Orange colorway is the direct opposite.

Hints of black still remain on the second version, particularly on the midsole, tongue, a few accents, and laces, but a bright orange color takes over everything else. The large 700 lettering still remains, this time in white, but this design choice doesn’t go together at all. It is very reminiscent of the Nike and Cactus Plant Flea Market collaborations, but where they succeeded, this colorway fails. It looks like a huge Yeezy Boost 700 advertisement, and it isn’t something that I’d want to wear on my feet.

The Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN is a small misstep in the lineup of 700s, with the Orange colorway being a pretty big letdown. Hopefully they look better on the foot when they release in early 2020. If not, I seriously don’t plan on dropping $220 USD on it. If you disagree, let us know down below. Do you think this is the weakest Yeezy yet or not?
