Just Revealed! Upcoming Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Shadow 2.0”

Take a look at the second rework of the OG 1985 colorway.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Shadow 2.0"

Despite the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic, last year was a great year for Jordan sneakers. Jordan brand still saw sellouts with a decline in the economy, while collaborating with the likes of J Balvin and Dior. As 2021 arrived, so did the announcement of sneakers like the Air Jordan 1 Switch “Purple Pulse” and, most recently, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Shadow 2.0.”

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Shadow 2.0” follows the 2018 “Shadow” colorway, which itself was a re-release of the original 1985 colorway. This new rendition features a gray suede overlay, which is contrasted by leather black undertones, creating a simple yet elegant look. This look is emphasized by the black laces and tongue, which blend together to stretch the black from the toe box to the top of the shoe. This allows the gray overlay to pop, emphasizing how well it contrasts with the darker tones. The sleek upper sandwiches the white midsole between itself and the black outsole.

The reveal of this new Air Jordan 1 colorway is a great way to kick off the year. The presence of only two colors is perfect for the Jordan 1 silhouette, especially since they are gray and black, as they allow for a look that is not too loud, but still eye catching. Its sleek look, coupled with the use of suede and leather, is something that is not always seen with Jordan 1 colorways, putting it in a higher category than some of its other counterparts.

Expected to drop on May 15th, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Shadow 2.0” comes just in time for the summer, giving sneakerheads a new, sleek colorway to rock as the sun begins to shine. With a price tag of $150 USD, this new colorway will likely sell out fast—the resale inflation is expected to be massive. If you want to get your hands on a pair, you are going to have to make sure you’re on the mark, come later this year.
