Atlanta has been a hotbed for modern-day rappers, including Gunna, Young Thug, and Lil Baby (most notably). Baby had an incredible 2020 with the release of My Turn, followed by his “The Bigger Picture” and “Errbody” drops. This all propelled him further into the mainstream, setting the stage for even bigger things as he plans to venture in the restaurant business.
The announcement of Baby’s new restaurant, which has not been named yet, comes after a Zoom call with XXL Magazine. He told the publication “I have a new restaurant and I’ma open it in Atlanta. It was supposed to be open by January, but we had to finish the stages, so maybe, February.” According to XXL, the restaurant will be in the heart of Atlanta, offering a “lounge-esque vibe.”
Lil Baby’s upcoming restaurant will offer customers a taste of Atlanta. The food is southern-themed, with the menu featuring lobster tail, lamb chops, rice and other items. It will also have in-house music and alcohol, allowing customers to enjoy the food Atlanta has to offer while also keeping them entertained by some of the city’s most prominent artists.
The Atlanta rapper was on a roll last year—with his current success (and the restaurant’s location), it will likely see major success. With the reveal of this restaurant, Lil Baby will soon join the likes of Ludacris and 2 Chainz. They both have their own restaurants in Atlanta: Chicken+Beer and Escobar, respectively.
