Sheck Wes has been working his way back into the mainstream since the release of his 2018 hit track, “Mo Bamba.” As a follow-up to his 2018 debut album, MUDBOY—and his appearance on 2019’s Cactus Jack collaboration album, JACKBOYS—the New York rapper is putting his name back into the conversation with Hell 2 Paradise (his upcoming album). In fact, he just teased the lead single, “RICH ONEDAY.”
Sheck’s second album is set to feature over 20 tracks, with “RICH ONEDAY” designated as the intro. Previewed on October 30th through the New York rapper’s social media, the track features hypnotic, psychedelic production, which supports an amped up Sheck Wes. As he enters the track, Wes sings about how he “told my ni***s we gone be rich one day.” Before he can continue, the snippet is cut short, giving listeners a taste of what’s to come with his second studio album.
Unfortunately, there is not much else known about the upcoming Sheck Wes album, Hell 2 Paradise. If it is anything like “RICH ONEDAY,” fans can expect a fun, exhilarating listen—much like that of “Mo Bamba.” With the amount of tracks featured on the album, hopefully Sheck Wes is able to deliver a variety of sounds that are more polished than his previous projects.
