Is anyone surprised that Supreme’s very own James Jebbia was awarded 2018 CFDA Mens Designer of the year? I’m not saying that the competition was weak because there were some solid competitors, including Virgil Abloh (Off White). Supreme not only killed the competition in 2017 in the street fashion world, but they Thano-ed it.
The CFDA Fashion Awards have been going strong since 1981 recognizing the biggest players making an impact in the industry every year. Congrats to James Jebbia!
Notable winners this year include Ralph Lauren (Members Salute), Kim Kardashian West (Influencer Award), British Vogue‘s Edward Enninful (Media Award), and Naomi Campbell (Fashion Icon Award). Calvin Klein’s Raf Simons walked away with the Womenswear Designer of the Year award.
