Although it initially began as Moxley embarking on a custom jean jacket venture, the brand has transformed into one that encapsulates a number of different styles. Those styles can range from something as simple as a graphic tee to a complex, hand-crafted, rhinestone studded piece. Throughout the brand’s formative years, Moxley has taken KimProducts from a one-woman army to a creative powerhouse, with a team of six.
From hoodies and t-shirts to pouches and lighter holders, there is no avenue that Moxley and her team shy away from. The most popular piece is definitely the Archive Hoodie; a blank hoodie that’s dressed the chest in rhinestones to spell out ‘Chicago Creates Legends.’ It comes in a multitude of colors, with the rhinestones shining among all of them, and can be paired with whatever the wearer sees fit. This versatility is something that also spans to other products, most notably the Garden Tee and Mars Marble Durag.
Moxley’s desire to create her own lane has resulted in becoming one of the creative voices of the city, taking KimProducts wherever she and her team go. From New York to L.A. and all the way back, KimProducts is making waves no matter where it is seen. They are paying homage to Chicago through Archive Hoodies, Chicago-style releases, and other outlets of creativity.
Aside from regular online drops, there have also been Portillo’s style drive-thru pop-ups, scavenger hunts around the city, and other innovative releases that show the willingness of KimProducts to go the extra mile. Not only is the brand putting on for Chicago, but it does so while creating an experience for shoppers. I’ve been able to style it with a bunch of different looks (from casual to cozy), with the rhinestones always adding flair.
