The Air Jordan 1 is one of the most popular sneakers to date, and Jordan brand is making sure to continue capitalizing on the sneaker’s success over thirty years after its initial release. This time around, they are releasing a women’s exclusive in the form of the Air Jordan 1 High OG WMNS “Seafoam,” which hits shelves this August.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG WMNS “Seafoam” features a white base that’s complemented by the seafoam overlay. The seafoam overlay is matched by the Nike swoosh of the same color, while the laces match the base. The white laces are outlined in healing orange, contrasting the seafoam overlay. Nike branding finds itself on the green tongue tab and is supported by a white tab that helps it stand out. This all sits atop a white midsole sandwiched between even seafoam, which the outsole is dressed in.
Although the sneaker was just a rumor back in October 2020, it’s now slated to be released on August 12th (later this year). With a retail price of $170 USD, it is set to be on the more expensive side, which is still better than what the resale prices will likely be.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG WMNS “Seafoam” is a simple, yet effective sneaker. The tinged look of the base and overlay are contrasted by the stark outlined laces. It seems like the perfect sneaker for the fall, utilizing relaxed autumnal colors. Even though it’s a women’s exclusive, we will likely see men rocking the “Seafoam” colorway due to its sleek look. Let’s hope it does not sell out too quickly.
