The New Nike Adapt BB 2.0 Will Take You Back To The Future

Nike Adapt BB 2.0 mag

The Nike Adapt BB 2.0 is one of the latest and greatest entries into Nike’s self-lacing series. Released earlier this year, the Adapt BB 2.0 features improved technology and better comfort than the original Adapt BB model. With the upcoming release of the Nike Adapt BB 2.0 “MAG, Nike truly is adding a flair of nostalgia to the Adapt BB 2.0.

If you take a closer look, you’ll realize that the Nike Adapt BB 2.0 “MAG” bears a major resemblance to the Nike Air Mag featured in Back To The Future Part II (now you know where the shoe got its name). The upper half sports a wolf gray color, with a “hard-to-miss” Nike swoosh (in white) across the upper-middle area of the shoe. Because “regular” laces are now gone, the shoe definitely looks much sleeker. Towards the upper half of the tongue, thin black laces are held down by green and gray accents.

The lower half of the Nike Adapt BB 2.0 “MAG” breathes more life into the sneaker—check out the aqua blue splattered all over the white ankle area. The sole completes the shoe’s design with a sky blue hue and pops of green, yellow, orange, and red, creating a colorful look we rarely see. The same four colors are seen on the midsole of the shoe—separated by the plastic motor guard—closer to the toe cap, which strengthens the resemblance to the Nike Air Mag.

The Nike Adapt BB 2.0 “MAG” is scheduled to release on August 9th through Nike SNKRS Japan. It’s definitely a promising sneaker—putting a spin on the Nike MAG idea from Back To The Future Part II and making it more affordable with the same features. With a retail price of $400 USD, hopefully the sneaker doesn’t sell out too fast.
