Sacai and Nike have been working overtime together this past year, teasing some great new iterations of their Sacai x Nike LDWaffle silhouette, including the “Pine Green/Clay Orange-Del Sol-Orange” and “Summit White/White-Wolf Grey-Black” colorways. Well, another one is on the way! Meet the Sacai x Nike LDWaffle “Black/Anthracite-White-Gunsmoke” model.
This new smokey colorway is pretty sleek, featuring a nice selection of colors that all blend well together. Starting at the sole, there’s a spiked black bottom holding up the white double midsole, along with the rest of the shoe. A plethora of shades stands out on the base of the shoe, including grey, black, ash grey, and white. The laces interchange between black and white, as does the swoosh logo. The swoosh logo does it differently, however, as a white swoosh is overtaken by a black swoosh, making for a unique design that allows both to get some sort of spotlight. The toe cap features a grey stripe that’s surrounded by black and ash grey, while the back tab is solid white, surrounding a black melded Nike x Sacai logo. The Nike logo and swoosh are seen twice on the tongue, with each copy overtaking one another. The logo and swoosh (that prevails) are a red-orange color, making for a great splash of color on an otherwise dark shoe.
The Nike x Sacai LDWaffle “Black/Anthracite-White-Gunsmoke” is scheduled to release on September 5th, 2019, alongside the “Pine Green/Clay Orange-Del Sol-Orange” and “Summit White/White-Wolf Grey-Black” colorways, all retailing at $180 each.
