Jordan brand has been working endlessly this year, keeping the market fresh with new, interesting colorways and renditions that stand apart from last year’s Jordans. Despite the trend they’ve set with interesting releases, Jordan brand has taken a detour, recently revealing the Air Jordan 1 “Dark Mocha” shoe.
The name might sound familiar, as the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG was often referred to by the same name. The Air Jordan 1 “Dark Mocha” utilizes similar earth tones to the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, but it takes a more relaxed approach in terms of design. It features a black upper, going from the toe cap to the tongue, divided by the white space holding the Nike swoosh. The rest of the sneaker is dressed in black leather, utilizing the three colors to create a look that is both bold and “kicked” back. The earth tones definitely allow the shoe to mix with a number of styles. We think that the limit of colors helps to keep things simple, preventing the shoe from overwhelming an outfit.
While the Air Jordan 1 “Dark Mocha” bears resemblance to Travis Scott’s 2019 collaboration with Air Jordan 1, the “Dark Mocha” takes a subtle approach by conforming to the typical Air Jordan 1 look (lacking any extra design elements). The shoe is set to drop this fall, fitting in with the darker, relaxed tones of the season. The fall release also gives fans time to decide whether or not they want to get their hands on a pair, rather than be rushed by an upcoming and/or limited release.
If you want to get your hands on a pair of Air Jordan 1 “Dark Mocha,” make sure you have at least $170 USD in your wallet by November 21! This sneaker will definitely give you the opportunity to look fresh (while rocking Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 look) without having to spend an arm and a leg.
