The Weeknd’s Track “King of the Fall” Is Now Available On Streaming Services

The Weeknd Throwback

The Weeknd has been working hard to please his fans this year, releasing his fourth studio album, After Hours, back in March and making an appearance on the late Juice WRLD’s track “Smile.” With his studio album, he gave fans 17 tracks to soak in; now, he’s adding “King of the Fall” to major streaming services.

Initially released in 2014, the track was a precursor to The Weeknd’s 2015 Beauty Behind The Madness album. The song served to build excitement for the album but never made the cut (it only released as a single). Now, the track has been uploaded to major streaming services with new cover art, coming in at a runtime of 5:02.

Produced by The Weeknd and DaHeala, “King of the Fall” is a lengthy listen filled with psychedelic trap production. On the track, The Weeknd sings about his lust for women and drugs, which is evidently amplified by his fame. This is shown by lyrics such as: “Bring your girl to my show, give her floor seats. Then she go downtown like she owe me,” and “I ain’t been this gone since Thursday, I never said that I’d be sober in the first place.” The subject matter coupled with The Weeknd’s shimmering vocals makes for an incredible listen that dives into The Weeknd’s lavish party lifestyle.

The Weeknd’s “King of the Fall” has been a favorite amongst fans ever since its initial release in 2014—now that it is available on streaming services, a whole new category of listeners can enjoy it.
