Vintage clothing has found its way back to the forefront of the fashion scene yet again! The unique pieces found at thrift stores continue to attract the attention of a younger generation incorporating fresh looks into their outfits. Although there are thousands of different thrift stores across the country, not all of them have the same novelty and attraction as others. There are definitely some that stand above the rest! Although many thrift stores are exclusive to just certain areas of the country, these top 3 are fairly accessible across the United States.

Starting at #3, we take a look at Savers. Savers is a thrift store that, on their website, describes itself as a “global thrift retailer offering great quality, gently used clothing, accessories and household goods.” Like a typical thrift store, Savers offers worn clothing, but their massive variety puts them in the third spot. There’s something for almost everyone at Savers, from fresh flannels to vintage Champion. The pieces are also fairly cheap, with a pair of Air Force 1s being sold for $7 and a Patagonia shirt for $14. Savers is a great store for finding unique pieces, but they go quick. There’s no guarantee you’ll find the same piece next time you go, and that’s what earns it its spot on the list. There’s always something new to find, the quality is usually great, and the prices are fair. Savers is a great place to find your next favorite piece!

Taking the #2 spot is Goodwill, which is a thrift store that prides itself on its work to help individuals/families in need by providing not only clothes but education as well as employment opportunities. Its morals are on point, but that’s not why it landed on the #2 spot. Goodwill’s clothing options, although sometimes limited, never disappoint. From vintage tees to Hilfiger jeans, there’s always a new favorite to find. They often have holiday-oriented items in front of the store, which are perfect for any social gathering or celebration. Customers often leave Goodwill satisfied, saying, “The prices were very fair for what I was buying” and “Goodwill has provided me with items that I would not have been able to get elsewhere.” It’s a great store that offers many vintage pieces and exciting items. From holiday-themed clothing to popular sneakers, Goodwill has much to offer! Its decent prices, good morals, and ever-changing pieces all help it take the #2 spot on our list.

Coming in at #1 is the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army always manages to have fresh pieces that fit any and all styles. From oversized sweatshirts to mom jeans, the Salvation Army truly has it all. Their prices are often fair (with certain jean jackets selling for $10 and under) and the pieces you get are seriously always great. Although the furniture shopping process can be a hassle, those who go for thrifting alone will surely find what they’re looking for. Thrifters have usually had smooth experiences at the Salvation Army, with some saying, “I admire the people of the Salvation Army for their service and dedication to helping people” and “they’re a bang for your buck.” They have great pieces for cheap, and you can always find a nice branded vintage item there. From Tommy Hilfiger jeans to Nautica sweaters, their selection never disappoints! Coupled with the fact that their prices are easily the best out of all other thrift stores, the Salvation Army takes our #1 spot.
