With a cumulative 20 million Spotify plays, Kachina is one of the leading pioneers of the UK electronic music scene. The band, however, states that their music exceeds being one-dimensional, stating that “We’re writing music that isn’t just functional party music; it’s therapy using bass, rhythm, melody & harmony, we try to capture a spiritual sense of the world mixing our favorite dance styles with a tribal sound.”
For fans of similar artists Wookie, DJ EZ, and Todd Edwards, the band described the newest release, citing “elements of Tuff Jam era garage, Jungle and 88-92 classic hardcore, Eyes of March is the anthem you’ve been waiting for!”
With 9 releases under their belt so far, Kachina has been instrumental within the UK electronic music scene. The group has shared stages with critically-acclaimed artists such as Crookers and The Bloody Beetroots, as well as working in collaboration with similar artists Synkro, Nero, Bar 9, and Distance.
Originally a trio, the group, unfortunately, lost member Earnest Payne (known as Zurcon) to cancer earlier this year but is commemorating him with the upcoming EP. The tracklist is as follows:
- 01 Boomdoc vs Kachina – Break Of Dawn
- 02 Kachina – Eyes Of March
- 03 Kachina – Rockaz
- 04 Kachina (feat Afua) – Waiting For You
