Vans Is Preparing For Spooky Season With ‘The New Nightmare Before Christmas’ Collection

Vans-and-Nightmare-Before-Christmas-Sneakers

Halloween is approaching fast, and October got here real quick! Now that we’re inching closer and closer to spooky season, streetwear lovers everywhere can prepare for some darker, scarier collections. One of these collections has been on our minds since early September. That’s right, Vans and The Nightmare Before Christmas are collaborating! And, we have a feeling they are about to drop some nightmarish pieces soon.

The collection features a multitude of sneakers (which are all different variations of their classic models) as well as new apparel including sweatshirts, socks, backpacks, a long sleeve top, and even a killer coach jacket, all of which are inspired by characters from the film. The Authentics, Sk8-Hi’s, Old Skools, Slip-Ons, and Slides all received a makeover based on multiple characters from the film (including Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie, Sally, and more). The characters are sprawled across the canvas of each sneaker, with some featuring patches that enhance the look of the shoe! This definitely sets the collaboration apart from the others that Vans has had in the past. Some highlights of the collaboration include the black/purple Jack Skellington inspired Sk8-Hi, all of the Sally inspired patchwork designs and the ghoulish coach jacket.

The apparel in this collection is nothing to gloss over either, with crazy Jack Skellington inspired checkered designs, colorful patchwork inspired by Sally, and a wild amalgamation of colors and designs inspired by the ghouls of Halloween Town. They are a great addition to anyone’s fall wardrobe and can pair nicely with a different selection of flannels, jeans, and a pair of spooky Sk8-Hi’s. The apparel is also a great addition to the collection, and we can’t wait to see how everything looks in person. If we had to cast a vote today, the collection is absolute flames. We really hope this collection lives up to the hype!

Considering the fact that The Nightmare Before Christmas released all the way back in October 1993, it’s pretty crazy to see the franchise still collaborating with others and keeping its name in the media. This spooky collection is scheduled to release on Friday, October 4th. If you plan on copping, make sure to check out the Vans website.
